Privacy notice

Last updated 31 October 2026

This notice explains, in plain English, what personal information Sage & Suds collects, why, and what your rights are under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).

Who we are

Sage & Suds is a home cleaning business run by Becky as a sole trader in Northern Ireland. Sage & Suds is the controller of your personal information. You can contact us about anything in this notice at hello@sageandsuds.co.uk or on 07455 009079.

What we collect

When you use the enquiry form on this website we collect what you choose to give us: your name, email address, phone number (if you choose to give it), town, home size, how often you'd like a clean, your preferred day, any pets, and your message. If you email us, phone us or message us on Facebook, we receive your message and the details that come with it, such as your name, email address or phone number. If you become a customer, we also keep the details needed to arrange your cleans and records of what you've paid.

Why we use it

Our lawful basis

When you ask about or book a clean, we use your information to take steps at your request before entering into a contract with you, and then to carry out that contract. We also rely on our legitimate interests in running the business and replying to messages, and on our legal obligations for tax and accounting records. We never sell your information or use it for advertising.

Who helps us

We use a small number of trusted services to run the business, and they handle your information only to provide those services:

Some of these providers may process information outside the UK. Where they do, they use safeguards recognised under UK law.
